New Year, New Chair

This design is to celebrate the Chinese New Year moment, a family reunion,

Dress neatly and take a family photo of the happy moment. And because the chair is an indispensable object in the family portrait, we used the chair as a starting point and wanted to design it, a chair for the family to use when taking family photos.

We searched for the homes of villagers in QingShan Village. Old chairs that have been used for a long time are collected and recreated. New material covers the old part of the chair, it is not only an echo of Margiela's concept of cherishing the old and welcoming the new, but also a hope for the new year.
